Hiking

Various 450 km of footpaths wait for passionated hikers in the region of Achensee. Everybody will find his track – for example, with the Karwendelberg cablecar hiking from Pertisau to the Zwölferkopf, in Maurach with the Rofan cablecar to the Erfurterhütte or in Steinberg to the Gufferthütte. The tourism association of Achensee organises every summer a eclectic hiking programme.

Sailing, surfing & kiting

The wind movements in the biggest lake of Tyrol are absolutely comparable with those in the Italian Gardasee. Therefore, often the Achensee is called the nozzle of Tyrol.

Mountainbike Eldorado Achensee

Embedded in the dreamlike scenery of the Karwendel- and Rofanmountains the region around the biggest lake of Tyrol offers a variety of gentle and ambitious paths for bikers. The region of Achensee counts with more than 250 km of very well signposted and approved bicycle routes and mountain bike routes to one of the most popular bike destinations of Tyrol.

Golfing

Two wonderfully cultivated golf courses, a dreamlike panoramic look and an unmistakeable ambience expects amateur- and profigolfers and those who want to become it at the Achensee.
